The following links are additional resources and services that are provided by a variety of state agencies and organizations in Texas for Tourism.

Texas State Agencies Involved With Tourism

Texas Economic Development and Tourism: provides information on variety of programs that relate to tourism and business development.

TravelTex: is the official site for promotion of Texas via the Web. Here you will find information and resources on destinations, attraction, and events throughout the state.
   
Texas Tourism Industry website: has information regarding travel research, economic forecasts, media promotion, and public relations/marketing assistance.
             
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department: provides a wide spectrum of programs throughout the department associated with nature tourism and outdoor recreation.  

The Great Texas Wildlife Trails: are developed as a platform to benefit communities and enhance habitat protection. These trails consist of locations for viewing birds, bats, butterflies, and other Texas wildlife.   
 
Texas State Parks and Destinations: has information on state parks thought     Texas.  The site has current information about events, passes, and a downloadable guide for visitors.      
 
The Wetlands Assistance Guide for Landowners: is a comprehensive guide to federal, state, and private programs offering technical and/or financial
assistance to private wetland owners within the State of Texas. The programs are designed to enhance, create, and conserve wetlands in Texas in   
exchange for technical, financial, and educational assistance to private landowners. 

Texas Historical Commission: is the state agency for historic preservation.  The Texas Historical Commission provides assistance to communities and organizations in various fields, including archeology, architecture, history, economic development, heritage tourism, public administration and urban planning.

Explore Texas: provide a guide to travelers based on 10 different regions across Texas.  Users can download themed travel guides to for Civil War locations, African American heritage sites, Texas in World War II, and many others.
 
Texas Heritage Travel Trails Program: provide technical, financial and marketing assistance to heritage regions and sites across Texas. Since 1997, the program has revitalized local economies, increased visitation to cultural and historic sites and raised the awareness of the importance of historic preservation to the tourism industry.
 
Texas Main Street Program:  The Texas Main Street Program, part of the Texas Historical Commission's Community Heritage Development Division, helps Texas cities revitalize their historic downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts by utilizing preservation and economic development strategies.

Texas Commission on the Arts: is the state agency charged with the development of a receptive climate for the arts in Texas. 

TCA Tools for Results Tool-kit: is a site developed as a resource for non-profit arts and cultural organizations in Texas and beyond.  The Tool-kit covers six topic areas: Fundraising & Development, Programs & Exhibitions, Cultural Tourism, Marketing, Advocacy, and Nonprofit Basics.

Texas Department of Agriculture:  TDA's mission is to make Texas the nation's leader in agriculture while providing efficient and extraordinary service. The TDA provides resources and assistance for traditional agriculture and rural development.   

GoTexasWine.org: is a website for Wineries and grape growers that  provides consumer materials, promotional tools, marketing opportunities and industry news.  Grape growers can access a detailed guide to starting a vineyard
in Texas
         
Texas Yes! Program: s a new initiative from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) designed to promote the growth and prosperity of every rural Texas town, city and county. It is a broad-based membership program similar to TDA's GO TEXAN marketing campaign.  Membership in Texas Yes! is free and open to rural communities, rural businesses and other organizations devoted to the success of rural Texas.
