D. Partner Analysis
 
1.      Identification of Potential Partners
 

Once you finish assessing the conditions of your park, you should also evaluate potential partners for your park. 

 

Partnerships have increasingly become an important element in the effective operation of parks because close cooperation with other organizations in different sectors can help deter weaknesses, reduce threats, reinforce strengths, and increase opportunities. 

 
Besides existing partners (see section I. A. 3. on page 2) it is important to identify potential partners that can build a mutually beneficial relationship with your park.  For each potential partner, consider the following:

Similar to the procedure performed for your park, you can strategically evaluate your partners and potential partners using S.W.O.T analysis.

§         How successful are the competitors?

§         What technology-related threats do they have?

§         Do they have resource problems that will hold them back?
